MicroStrategy Technology Day Event to Feature OEM Track
McLean, Va., (September 06, 2007) –
MicroStrategy® Incorporated (Nasdaq: MSTR), a leading worldwide provider of business intelligence (BI) software, today announced that it has entered into agreements with 50 OEM Partners since 2004. These OEM Partners are leveraging the MicroStrategy platform to augment their own products and solutions with dashboards, reporting, and analysis capabilities. By enhancing their product capabilities with business intelligence, OEMs can differentiate their products from competitors, increase customer satisfaction, and create new revenue streams.
MicroStrategy’s portfolio of OEM Partners includes a broad range of companies across vertical industries:
Blazent is a pioneer in automated solutions for aligning and analyzing IT and business-oriented functions. Using MicroStrategy technology, Blazent has created out-of-the-box guided analytics and business scenarios to support decision making for an organization’s financial, operational, and strategic goals, enabling organizations to leverage data to drive actionable business decisions.
InQuira, Inc. improves the quality of customer interactions through web sites and contact centers with integrated applications for intelligent search, knowledge management, analytics, and user experience. Using MicroStrategy, InQuira provides its customers with analyses on visitors and web site content, allowing them to adopt customer-centric business processes to manage critical customer interactions.
SchoolNet, Inc. provides Internet applications that help K-12 school systems improve efficiency and increase achievement. SchoolNet’s solutions are used by some of the nation’s largest school districts. SchoolNet’s Analyze product, incorporating MicroStrategy technology, will enable school district users to build dynamic reports and dashboards accessing school district data in key areas, including assessments, curriculum, attendance, human resources, operations, and finance.
Target Software, a division of Cegedim, offers value to pharmaceutical companies utilizing costly and inefficient paper-based processes. Target Software uses MicroStrategy to provide a hosted solution for analyzing field sales force ROI, promotional channel response, market share, competitor activity, and sampling.
MicroStrategy’s business intelligence platform provides integrated reporting and analytics, allowing OEM Partners to easily add reporting, dashboarding, analytical, and alerting applications to their existing software solutions. These new reporting and analytic components can be added with minimal development costs or resources. The MicroStrategy platform is engineered using an open standards-based architecture for reliability, scalability, security, and central administration, enabling seamless integration into an OEM’s application. MicroStrategy provides a Software Development Kit to its OEM Partners to allow them to deeply embed and white-label MicroStrategy within their own interfaces.
MicroStrategy’s flexible, affordable pricing options, including a Software-as-a-Service pricing model, allow OEM Partners to offer BI capabilities on a metered basis. MicroStrategy’s pricing flexibility, coupled with the strength of its technical architecture, enables MicroStrategy’s OEM Partners to offer solutions ranging from on-premise deployments for fewer than five users up to hosted solutions for thousands of users.
“We are delighted that even with a significant variance in the user counts of our customers’ implementations, MicroStrategy’s flexible pricing models enabled us to offer a comprehensive BI solution at a reasonable cost,” said Eric Keith, Vice President of Market Development for SirsiDynix. “With MicroStrategy, we only need one partner to meet the wide range of reporting and BI requirements across our entire customer base.”
“Using MicroStrategy as the embedded BI engine in our product has given us a significant competitive differentiator,” said Rod Bayless, Product Director at Activant Solutions. “We have a new and strategic revenue stream that we didn’t have before, plus we are seeing higher levels of customer satisfaction by offering MicroStrategy’s reporting and analytic capabilities.”
