Amentra, a Red Hat company, will sell to and train customers who want to deploy Jaspersoftâs open source BI suite with Red Hatâs JBoss Data Services Platform
RED HAT SUMMIT & JBOSS WORLD– (CHICAGO) (September 03, 2009) –
Jaspersoft, provider of the world’s most widely used business intelligence (BI) software, today announced it is partnering with Amentra, a Red Hat company, to meet growing demand from customers who are increasingly using Jaspersoft’s BI suite in conjunction with Red Hat solutions.
Amentra is a Red Hat company and systems integrator. Analysts have recognized Amentra for its unique approach to training and knowledge transfer, which is based on staff knowledge of software languages, technology platforms and a variety of business processes. This strategy contributes to successful project transitions and deployments for customers’ production environments.
Jaspersoft and Amentra have begun collaborating on solutions for customers in the government sector, a sector where opportunities for open source software appear to be growing. The companies also expect to work together to address the needs of customers in other industries such as retail, education and clean-technology, among others.
“By partnering with Amentra, we are providing our customers with absolutely the best resources for deploying our open source BI software in their mission-critical environments,” said Brian Gentile, CEO of Jaspersoft. “Our relationship with Amentra will meet the new levels of demand we’re experiencing and it signals our ongoing, strategic relationship with Red Hat.”
“Jaspersoft’s BI software is being deployed at the enterprise level for both our commercial and federal clients with executives looking to enhance their implementations and mentor their staff.” said Kevin Sherry, Program Manager, Amentra. “We’re looking forward to working with Jaspersoft to expand their offerings and extend our role as a trusted leader in open source system integration. Together, we aim to deliver a robust enterprise data solution to our clients including leveraging our industry-recognized Mentoring Model to teach and train client staff throughout the implementation process.”
Jaspersoft is also one of the first members of The Red Hat Catalyst Program, which was announced this week at the Red Hat Summit (http://www.redhat.com/about/news/prarchive/2009/). The program will complement existing marketing initiatives for key open source solutions and a collaborative web portal to facilitate discussion on innovative solutions developed by members of the program.
