Open source Business Intelligence and Linux market leaders deliver enhanced systems management reporting functions for Red Hat Network Satellite
BOSTON, Red Hat Summit (June 19, 2008) –
Jaspersoft Corporation, the market leader in open source business intelligence (BI), today announced that it has extended its relationship with Red Hat through an OEM agreement that includes the incorporation of Jaspersoft’s reporting functionality in future releases of the Red Hat Network Satellite systems management product.
Red Hat Network Satellite provides a systems management platform for large enterprise customers focused on managing, provisioning, monitoring, and virtualizing their Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments. Jaspersoft’s reporting solution will be embedded in Red Hat Network Satellite offerings so that systems managers can automatically perform critical reporting and analysis.
“Jaspersoft is the most advanced open source business intelligence suite on the market, and our partnership with Red Hat represents customer demand for the enterprise class functionality inherent in our BI suite,” said Jose Morales, vice president of business development, Jaspersoft. “This solution will deliver sophisticated systems management reporting and analysis through a purely web-based interface, consistent with Red Hat’s need to deliver greater value to their customers.”
“Our enterprise customers have expressed their desire to have a wider variety of prebuilt reports as well as the ability to create custom reports as part of our Red Hat Network Satellite offerings,” said Katrinka McCallum, vice president of Red Hat’s Management and Security business. “Jaspersoft’s v3 release was the clear choice because it combines compelling flexibility with the enterprise functionality our customers require.”
The Jaspersoft tools available in Red Hat Network Satellite will optimize the efficiency of Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers by producing detailed reports that surface important information for systems administrators managing these servers. It will enable customized reports for problem management and deliver information on license configuration requirements, provisioning, downtime and uptime averages, and much more.
Red Hat Network Satellite is built on open standards and uses a simple, Internet-based graphical interface. It also features a modular design–as networks grow, administrators can add enhanced capabilities for system updates, management, and monitoring of their entire infrastructure.
Jaspersoft this week also announced the availability of its Jaspersoft v3 suite, which marks a major milestone for open source business intelligence software by bringing full enterprise class functionality to the business customer. Jaspersoft v3 also employs Web 2.0 technologies to provide a highly interactive, browser-based experience. More information on this news can be seen at www.Jaspersoft.com/v3.
