Powerful, Open Source Analytic Bundle Available for Immediate Download and Use

Infobright, the open source data warehousing company, and Jaspersoft, provider of the world’s most widely used business intelligence (BI) software, today announced the availability of an integrated virtual machine download. This freely available open source bundle includes Infobright’s analytic database and Jaspersoft’s BI software, and enables users to quickly deploy a complete analytic solution.
The virtual machine can be downloaded from Infobright.org.
The bundle includes:
* Infobright Community Edition (ICE) – optimized for analytic applications and data warehousing deployments, the robust, open-source, column-store database is highly scalable, simple to manage, and delivers superior query performance without any administrative effort.
* JasperServer Community Edition – the report server delivers pixel-perfect reports, dashboards, a secure report repository, and report scheduling.
* JasperAnalysis Community Edition – the OLAP server allows business analysts or executives to slice-and-dice data to discover trends in data, such as sales across regions and time.
The integrated virtual machine builds on a joint open source project launched earlier this year on the JasperForge. The project includes information and forums for the end-to-end open source analytic solution, and can be visited at http://jasperforge.org/projects/infobright. Users of the new virtual machine can visit the forums to ask and answer questions, get helpful information on deployment options, and learn about various upgrade options.
