Yellowfin, an International Business Intelligence software vendor and Ingres Corporation, a data management expert, have partnered together to certify Yellowfin’s ease-of-use BI solution with Ingres’ VectorWise, the record-breaking speedy analytical database.
The partnership means that both Yellowfin and VectorWise will be sold as a complete enterprise reporting and analytics solution package. The deals delivers the world’s fastest and easiest to use total business analytics package at a price point that makes Business Intelligence accessible to everyone.
The growth of digital data is increasing rapidly at an unprecedented rate worldwide. According to recent research, computing storage capacity is growing at about 58 percent per year. The need for enterprises to be able to capture, collate and analyze organizational data is becoming increasingly more important and difficult to manage.
Yellowfin’s CEO and co-founder, Glen Rabie, says there’s no need for costly hardware upgrades or BI tuning to easily achieve data analysis of big data stores at record-breaking pace with minimal demand on IT resources.
Rabie added that organizations from across all industries, particularly data aggregators and those with large data volumes, now have the ability to achieve unmatched ROI through faster reporting and analytics, at a fraction of the cost, with less complexity.
In February, VectorWise shattered the Transaction Processing Performance Councils’ TPC-H benchmark for the fastest analytical database at 100 GB on a single cluster and delivered 340 percent of the previous record.
Fred Gallagher, General Manager for the VectorWise business unit said Yellowfin is an ideal partner for Ingres. He also stated that their values and mission are well aligned with Yellowfin’s BI solution and Ingres’ VectorWise database, delivering easy-to-use, high performing products at a palatable price tag.
